Riders Association of Triumph Ride Report

Hello fellow RATs and friends of RATs,

Well, it was a nice day for a ride. We had 10 members show at the shop. Victor was to be our ride leader and handed out maps! No lost person here! We had a new face among us, Chris on his 07 Tiger and John on his brand new Speed Master, which I thought he rode as if he had been riding it for years. Some people just click on their bikes.

We headed of to Old Santa Cruz HWY towards Coralitas. It was a interesting ride. A little bumpy for my TT600 but riding past all the burned little trees on the left and looking to the right and seeing all green trees. It was all so sad. Occasionally I would see one green tree amidst all the burned one. Lucky little tree. We ambled through the wooded roads and stopped in Coralitas where we had lunch at the butcher shop. I was not used to having a menu with moose, Deer, Buffalo and Ostrich meat. OK, in my humble life of pickiness I would call it all mystery meat. We sat across from the little market and just kicked tires. It was hot but very nice. It was nice to see Charles on his Scrambler, and Jeff on his Bonnie meandering through the hills. We had a star appearance from Jeff who showed up on his Speed triple, dare I say the fastest of the bunch.

From there we took back roads and ended up on Monterey road. It was a nice easy ride and we all stayed together. I would like to thank all of you that participated on the ride. It was wonderful to see all of you. Sue, Jim and Tim thank you for the great company.

Anyway, keep your eyes open for my emails as I leave for England later today. If anyone has any more ideas that you wish to have me ask, please email me. I am hoping for something really neat from Triumph! Ride safe everyone,

Cheers ;-)

Maya
