Hello to all,
I am hoping that you enjoyed your holiday and the ending of summer. Well,
theres still Indian summer around the corner.
Our ride to Solvang turned into a ride to Cambria, once we met up with the Bonnie Club.
The day was not your usual hot summer day but it was a nice ride.
Carollyn lead the way on her RS. Since Carollyn purchased her RS,
she has with care and smarts, mastered riding her bike.
Her smooth lines and wits make a show of it.
Lets see, When we met up with the Bonnie club in Paso Robles, we had lunch and
admired all the beautiful retro bikes and split off to ride down towards the
coast. It was a little cold but over all not too bad.
We ended in Cambria, which
was where the Bonnie guys were going, and it was a site to see all those
Triumphs glide, roar, hum and gurgle down the main street.
We headed to where the guys were staying only to find they were in the middle
of a Bark Off - which is a contest of who has the best exhaust on their bike.
I never knew there were so many different exhausts that could be installed on them.
We had dinner with them at a nice restaurant in town. There was lots of cheer,
fun and talk. We retired back to our hotel and took the coastal highway home.
The coast was beautiful although somewhat foggy in spots. The Bonnie club went their
own route home.
For those of you who didnt make the ride, it was surely a blast from the
past.
Our next meeting is on 7th at the Duke of Edinburgh in Cupertino. We will
discuss our route to the RAT raid and our future rides. We hope to see you at
the meeting and perhaps the Raid.
