Hello everyone, We met at CAL Triumph at 8:30 where Kari lavished us with coffee, muffins and pastries for the cold morning that we were staring straight in the eyes. We left at 9 am, where I led the pack down towards Monterey via HWY 17 to HWY 1. We veered off onto Carmel Valley road to stop for gas and that's where Joachim took the lead. We then took G16 to King City then over to G14 where we stopped for lunch in Mission San Antonio at Fort Hunter Liggett which is an Army post. At about this point Carrollyns RS seemed to making a clattering noise like her bike was about ready to take flight from the base. The guys got together and found the problem and she was fixed for the moment. We decided to have lunch at the base and ummmm I didnt have my registration or my insurance papers, but with my charm and good looks (with a helmet on) I was able to squeak through with the others. The guard was tired of checking papers for each bike. We had lunch which was quite good and then we headed off towards 152 west to G8 north onto Uvas road. It was a long day but the roads were nice sweepers and the company was great! Those of you, who rode with us, thank you for coming on the ride. Joachim, we thank you for helping out Carrollyn and she is very grateful to you. It was nice to see to Greg, Tim, and Charles as well. Simply put,a great group of guys and array of different bikes makes a great Saturday ride. Our next meeting will be at the Duke of Edinburgh in Cupertino on Wednesday, September 8th at 8pm. See you there. Don't forget that September 11th will be our Triumph Day at Alice's restaraunt. Ride leaves at 10 am and the bar-b-que will start around 1 pm. The cost will be $15.00 for the lunch drinks are included. There will be raffle tickets selling for $2.00 each for prizes as well. Please RSVP if you planning to attend the ride so that Alice's can have enough food for us. Old Triumph's are also welcome at this event! Happy riding all and we hope to see you on a ride at some point. Maya Back to Rides and Events For inquiries on this web site please email mail: [email protected] |
